Tony Nathan Remembers Life Lesson Moment Playing for Coach Bryant

December 17, 2016

Running back Tony Nathan reflected on his excitement scoring a touchdown while at Alabama. He was so excited, in fact, that he celebrated in the end zone, much to the chagrin of his coach.

When Nathan made his way back to the sidelines, he said Coach Bryant told him, "Act like you've been there before, and hand the ball to the official."

In that moment, Nathan said in the interview clip he realized the type of man his coach was and the impact he would have on him, even outside of football.

Many former players have recounted the life lessons Coach Bryant taught them, often in the context of that being the standout memory they have even among the glory days of the wishbone era at Alabama.
